Wish they came with an electric moonroof cover, not a fan of the radiant heat coming through the cabin on hot days.

The Tesla grok integration is great for language learning. I use it on long drives to get Spanish intermediate conversation practice. Way better than the old “repeat after me” lessons on tape I used to listen to years ago.
Based on current sales and orders, this will be car of the year. Apparently they sold 5000 a day in the first week, and the trend has continued near that number since...huge back order on them atm lol

I was reading why Tesla's have such high efficiency numbers; it isn't just the motors; it all comes down to lots of little things. For example, Tesla doesn't use normal wheel bearings; it uses an in-house design that improves drive friction efficiency enormously (they also last longer, obviously, due to less friction wear).
Tesla are the best cars ever. And I use FSD daily. Game changer.

Great review Paul. Love this, absolutely amazing car! It ticks all the boxes for us, most impressive. Tesla wins really big time on software and efficiency compared to virtually all others. The car is actually hard to pick visually compared to the standard Y- actually says a lot for YL’s design. It’s dead easy to hotspot the car to your phone to save the premium connectivity fee , and about all you lose is satellite view and sentry remote view. No mention of FSD? FSD supervised is absolutely bloody AMAZING when you’re not in the mood for driving, or just plain tired. Brilliant. It’s absolutely perfect for me when I’ve had a very long tiring day and have a boring drive home in heavy traffic. Furthermore, it’s only going to get even better- we currently have only version 13.2 here in Australia, whereas North America has version 14.3 which is even better still. (We have elderly friends in California, both mid 80s and they literally use it 100% of the time and totally rave about it.)
I currently have a model 3 my intention is to eventually buy a model Y, went to the showroom last week and saw the model YL and definitely will go the model YL over a model Y, even though I don’t necessarily need the extra room it was just a much better all round package that’s hard to beat
