now now young man ,this is what you do ,the take the engine number to dealer and they should tell you what car it came out off .i hope you do that
Don’t give up on this one mate, you’re an influencer, so use your influence to your advantage.
You have to fight this one, there's simply to much evidence for them to ignore.
British Con Auction Flooded engine swap
Don’t give up on BCA, after all, they know who the scammers are that swapped the engine, there’s so much evidence and it’s not good PR for them either.
Surely engine numbers reveals all
Probably bought at auction and they swapped the engine for the working one and sent it back to auction saying they were refusing it.
I’m so sorry for you Dean - looks like flooded or hydrolocked swap out and return. Like someone else said maybe from that flooded JLR dealership. You should be entitled to trace the donor vehicle by engine number. I would definitely inform dvla/police of original v5 engine number as stolen surely it will turn up on mot check or servicing in the future. Even if you can’t get something back from BCA they MUST ban whoever bought and returned it or these scammers will just go on ripping everyone off. Good luck!
Huel and other meal replacement drinks taste like liquified sawdust.
Yeah that’s had the running engine ripped out and swapped with a shagged one. Then the car and shagged engine sent back saying it’s not as described. Smacks Birmingham special. 18 miles explains it quick test drive to prove the original engine was sweet. Bet it was sent in originally to BCA with a gearbox issue that it will still have.
I agree with your thoughts regarding the four month delay but I'd still tell the auction house so they can look for this guy again.
Try going to DVLA with the engine number that’s on the V5 and enquire if that engine number has been transferred to another car. And if it has, get the date. Then get the history of the car and see if it matches up to the guys that initially bought yours, then returned it to the auction. If all that works out then they HAVE to act.
Before you buy any Land Rover next time book a session with a shrink. maybe he can knock some sense into your scull.
As hellish as these situations are, they are at least entertaining for us viewers of this excellent channel.
Hi Dean, Watching you and your struggles with BCA, I can assure you, you are not the first to be scammed by this company, keep up the excellent video’s, and I will keep entering your competitions.
BCA sort this out. You know what the truth is. Don't make a bad situation worse.
The person who sold this must be known to BCA and should be flagged as a rogue trader! Good job it’s all within your budget and skill set.
Dean your no idiot you work so hard the auctions are cheating everyone now even with damaging then with fork lifts its a bummer totally I feel for you buddy
In Oz engine number is part of car registration. Changing engine requires updating registration - and needing source of engine. Pretty sure that is the case in the UK - as either chassis or engine has to remain to keep existing registration. This means engines are traceable - and record used in car theft tracing. What does the records for this Rover show? And if the auction house is not checking this they are possible criminally negligent.
Quick one mate if you want to check if there’s gas in the system go to the fill point and press the valve in the middle abit like a tyre valve and some gas will come out obviously if any is present 🫡
