This is the 355 By Evoluto, a Ferrari F355 that’s been given the restomod treatment. That means everything from the five-valve 3.5-litre V8 to the pop-up headlights and signature side intakes have been restored, modified and re-imagined. It's the work of two companies: DRVN and CALLUM. The former is the same engineering firm behind Boreham Motorworks, which reproduces officially licensed versions of the Ford RS200 rally car and the Mk1 Escort; the latter is the design house of Ian Callum, the man who penned the likes of the Aston Martin Vanquish and Jaguar F-Type. Have they perfected the Ferrari F355, or should two British companies have left an 1990s Italian supercar icon alone? 🚗 355 By Evoluto (Ferrari F355 restomod) 🎤 Jack Rix 🎥 Subscribe to Top Gear YouTube: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear ⏪ Subscribe to Top Gear Classic YouTube: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear 📖 Subscribe to Top Gear Magazine: https://top-gear.visitlink.me/YeyndO 🎧 Top Gear Magazine Podcast: https://topgear.podlink.to/Podcast ✉️ Top Gear Newsletter: https://www.topgear.com/newsletter-signup 🛍️ Top Gear Shop: https://www.topgear.com/shop Follow Top Gear ⬇️ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/topgear/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/topgear TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@topgear X/Twitter: https://x.com/BBC_TopGear This is a commercial channel from BBC Studios. £800k i saw you coming 😂
Front left daytime LED light gave up already
I've never understood why Ferrari, Laborghini etc. don't do proper resto-mod/homages themselves. Can you imagine a Countach or Diablo with a new but close-to-original body, still stick shift and analogue, but everything else updated in house? I mean original styling, but modern engine, suspension, brakes, etc. Something like Ford did with the Ford GT 05. How sick would that be? [Edit: I know Lambo tried with the LPI 800-4, but that looked nothing like the original imo. Most people in the comments are coming up with reasons why this can't be done: safety standards, value of the originals, etc. I don't really buy any of those arguments. There are ways to deal with all these so-called problems. It just takes a little imagination. One thing they could definitely do is just make new versions of those cars bigger. Were people in the 80s and 90s smaller? Those cars are tiny lol]
can't unsee a tweakers MR2
You can't improve on the original F355 wheel design, they're perfection.
Whoever designed this should have designed the new testarossa.
I'd have a low mileage 355 in the garage, a reasonably high mileage 355 coupe for driving around, a 355 spider for driving around and about £500k left over!
The old F355, please. This restomod reminds me of a MR2.
It proves, You don’t really need a touch screen in any car. It's perfect without this
Sacrilege, or a supercar icon made better?
0:21 ive just had a crisis
Without a question one of the coolest and best sounding restomod!
I'm actually impressed how well done it is
Jesus Christ that car looks absolutely gorgeous
A million dollar car and already one of the LED DRL’s has gone out lmao @ 7:16
The whole start of the video, my eyes can't stop looking at the 355 in the background. that says it all.
That's a proper Ferrari looking car. Damn...
Restomod rules 😎
Restomod always surprises me, but this one just takes the lead, it’s pure, raw, classy perfection and exactly what I’d like new Ferrari cars to be. In and out, amazing job by Evoluto!
I drove a 355 on the track one time 20 years ago. I have thought about it every day since then. It lives rent free in my mind.
