Thatβs painful to watch. Never want to see anyoneβs hard work and dreams come to an end.
You made it, most didnβt even get there, itβs over but at least you made the show! Probably have a few million stashed away, go live your life!
"We're all told, at some point, that we can no longer play the child's game. Some of us are told at 18, some at 40. But, we're all told."
Severe elbow strain, though no MRI showed any tears in ligaments or muscle he retired. Possibly just had one hell of an elbow pop, and wasn't ready for it.
Thatβs the saddest shit Iβve ever seen
I wish more people could love what they do so much it hurts to have to leave it
Guys, he played 12 yrs in the league. Its unfortunate. But he had a solid career. If this was a youngster in his prime that would be devasting.
Kawasaki picking him up immediately β€οΈβ¦π
Truly one of the saddest moments in baseball.
Almost made me cry, that was tough to watch.
Reminds me of a Derrick rose moment you never wanna see a player end their career young or old we wanna see you healthy
Hate too see anyone hurt, but he made it to the big league π. Thatβs impressive!
So sad
No athlete wants to end a career with a serious injury...no matter at what point.π’π’π’β€
I feel for him... I can no longer play because of my arm... 23 years just over.. be strong bro.. got a federal job like me...
Youβll never understand unless you lived it. Itβs heartbreaking. Lost my college career mid pitch, much like this. I tried to throw one more and my shoulder just gave completely. My elbow and shoulder were done. Went from throwing low 90s to not lifting my arm over my head for 3 years without severe pain. 27 years later I can throw with my son, but itβs always hurting.
Happened to me my senior year, work all off season to be strong and ready first pitch dislocated my shoulder!
Had a long career made a lot of money. Keep your head up.
These guys work so hard to make it to the big leagues. Some of them may only get 1 at bat or 1 inning pitched. To see his reaction shows the passion they all have for the game.
I played high level flag football for over 20 yearsβ¦this is how I felt when the last pass I threw floated like a duck then hit a wall at about 15 yds. I just couldnβt do it physically anymore and it really sucked. That was my life. League play 3x per week and tournaments on the weekend, usually in other cities, then all of a sudden I couldnβt do it anymore. Time remains undefeatedβ¦
