Dwarves in all stories are incredibly resistant to magic as Elves are extremely resistant to enchantments. So why does this human hold the stone so plainly yet it drives the dwarven king mad I've always wondered.
Dwarf king : egotistical and ungrateful. The hobbit didn"t need to do any of it to help him and his giant ego , still he did.
