...COLA AND A HOTDOG
Oh they knew
I’m sure they had some idea. This was John Williams we’re talking about, and they’re doing this huge choral number, I’m sure it felt very cool to Record That
Man when i saw the Darth Maul duel in theaters, it was goosebumps from the very first note
the choir is london voices and john williams brought them in to record the opening of duel of the fates for phantom menace. they had no real way to know what it would turn into, they were just running through sheet music in a studio. now its one of the most recognized cues in film score history and a huge chunk of the prequel identity is built on those opening voices 🎼 had y'all ever heard the full studio recording of duel of the fates before this clip?
Still the greatest entrance music to any villain in movie history. Everybody having the slightest amount of clue of the Star Wars universe to this time flipped hearing this in combination with the double lightsaber.
The Choir in 1999: Give us 5% every time the song is played. The Choir in 2026: WE RICH BITCH!!
Sung that in a choir! Feels even more awesome to actually be amongst everyone else singing the same thing!!! absolutely incredible!!! Edit: Geez, louise! Y'all don't know how to read! 😂❤ I said I have sung THAT piece in A choir not that I was part of the original recordings!!! 😂
-Yes! Star Wars! (6 yo son from other room) Yup, iconic
i listened to this a disturbing amount of times
Can you image being able to honestly say you were a part of creating this timeless classic.
So i wasn't a big fan of the prequels, but this music (and its accompanying scene) still gives me chills.
The star wars scores and john williams music is by far and away some of the best music ever created
The 6 movies are awsome!
They had working ears. Everyone who heard this immediately knew it was an all time banger.
Did anyone else notice Walter White in the choir?
It used to be seeing the "Bat Signal" would be the rallying call to action. Now, the opening choir of the Duel of the Fates signals it's about to go down.
Legendary
I'm NOT afraid! Good! You WILL be. You WILL BE!!
