SAS: Rogue Heroes Season 2, Episode 4 takes the unit to Termoli, where the SAS and their allies are trying to hold the town as the German counterattack begins. The episode is built around pressure, shortages, and the absurd details that still come down from command even when the front line is closing in. In this scene, Paddy Mayne is told that the German advance has started, and the situation already sounds impossible: not enough equipment, no air cover, and the 16th Panzer Division coming their way. But Paddy’s immediate order is not about weapons or tactics. He wants water loaded onto a truck so the men can take their uniforms to a laundry in Termoli. The joke is dry, but the point is clear. GHQ has sent an urgent message saying the SRS must wear correct uniforms when engaging the enemy, especially if there is a risk of capture. Paddy knows how absurd that sounds when they are about to face tanks with almost nothing, so he turns the order into a bitter piece of military comedy: apparently, clean uniforms are now the priority. In the U.S., SAS: Rogue Heroes Season 2 is currently streaming on fuboTV, MGM+ Amazon Channel, MGM Plus Roku Premium Channel, MGM Plus, Philo, and Spectrum On Demand; no free streaming option is listed. #SASRogueHeroes #PaddyMayne #SRS #Termoli #16thPanzerDivision #JackOConnell #WWIIDrama #MilitaryDrama #WarDrama #DarkHumor #TVShorts #shorts #movie 📌Disclaimer:This video is a fan-edited short made for entertainment and commentary purposes under fair use. if i remember correctly the order on the german side at the same time was any SaS commando spotted was to be executed on site and will not be taken prisoner.
For those who have served, this is actually believable.
Unless they find a way to properly cover all those bucket's there won't be any water left in them by the time they reach that laundry
"The cleaning of our uniforms is our priority" is so painfully British
People act like this was a stupid command or something, but it’s really not commando’s were being shot in or not in uniform. The difference is if they’re in uniform the Germans can be held accountable for war crimes and the bodies can be identified as serviceman and not just buried in mass graves, along with the rest of the collateral damage and civilians
"Even for Paddy, this is not Fookin normal" :D :D :D
Considering it's apart of the rules of war it's not unreasonable and if captured outside of their uniform they don't qualify for any protections.
Wait. Thats. Sad....
damn, i wonder if remmick ever saw the smokestack twins in battle
I mean the uniform thing makes sense, as otherwise you are not protected and are shot as a spy But then again they were SAS anyway, so...
It's because of the Hague Conventions, and ironically it was their superiors trying to look out for them. Under the Hague Conventions, any soldiers not in uniform or equivalents (you'd be fine wearing military-issued tank tops and shit if you were captured while sleeping) *were not* considered PoWs and therefore had 0 legal protections if captured. It seems stupid, but this is why spying and black ops are so dangerous: You are not protected by any law, and it's therefore effectively legal to do *anything* to you if you are captured, or at least not illegal. Should the higher-ups have been pushing so hard on the uniform issue? No, this is literally what Paddy and his crew signed up for, they should've known the risks, as they're rather self-evident. But it's not like British command was doing this just to be hard-asses, if anything it was indicative of how valued they were that British command was concerned so much about losing them as non-PoWs and therefore being unable to find them or negotiate for their release.
This show was so, so, soooooooooo good.
This movie was so over the top I had to stop watching.
This is a logic step. Agree with Paddy it's a priority.
You always look the best on your death day 🫡 its a true mental priority, with honor for your family and state, but if you have the guts, once you get dirt n mud on you, you can not die
Its so they have an excuse not to wear them, making it obvious who they are, and getting captured/executed as a result. In this case, perfidy is the right choice.
I love the giggle when he says “with no air cover” like just remembered oh yeah we don’t have that either 😭
BEEFFOOOORE they get blown to bits and little weggie has a cry
Wdym SRS
Them talking about water pistols seems like a strange oversight seeing as the first air pressure based squirt gun was only patented in 1949
