A Father’s Greatest Fear Is Watching The World Break His Son. One of the heaviest burdens of parenting is knowing the world can be cruel, and feeling powerless to shield your child from its scars. Often, a parent’s love manifests as fear, pressure, or toughness, not out of anger, but out of a desperate terror of watching the world break their child’s innocence. Many of us carry the very anxieties our parents tried to shield us from, never realizing those burdens were born from love. True strength is not about turning cold; it is learning how to protect the people you love without losing your softness in the process. Our parents are deeply flawed, but their fear of watching us break is a silent ache deeper than words can ever explain. Tragically His (Al Capone) son was deaf, and he didn’t realise till much later, when he finally did find out, he went from mildly concerned/disappointed in his son, to feeling extremely guilty and overwhelmed with empathy. The poor kid isn’t just unwilling to be violent, he straight up barely understands what’s going on in the first place 🥺💔
I cried with that little boy. His beautiful face. It broke my heart.
My 6-year-old son is exactly like this. He often gets bullied while playing. I’ve tried teaching him self-defense, but he usually ends up crying instead. Honestly, I don’t know what to do anymore. It’s heartbreaking to see your child struggle and feel helpless 😢
That last part of realizing you're being too tough on your kid and acknowledging it's ok for them to feel the way they do and hugging them is awesome
Remember the time when my father used to hug me after he used too get angry on me.miss that hug from my late Father 😢😢😢
I always told my sons, if someone bullies you and hit you 1st make sure you fight him back and win , but never ever be the 1st to bully .
FK that broke me! I’m sure many of us who watched this also experienced it. I can’t have a bully!
The kid shouldnt have to learn how to fights. The bully should have to learn the consequences
i cried man if i was that kid's brother the next that bully bastard had two arms and two legs broken
As I know from experience being bullied as a kid, it's not that you think you're weak. It's simply that you don't want to hurt people. But then you don't know what to do.
Being a man isn’t about fighting. It’s about knowing when not to.
The show is boardwalk empire. This is Al Capone and his son. In the show, his son is completely deaf and he was being bullied at a school for the deaf. In real life, his son was only partially deaf and could hear.
Each time you break and you have no one to assemble you back, you get together, just a little bit wrong. You break a person enough times and you get a soul so twisted, that nothing can soften it or untwist it. ❤
When he put his hands above his head🥺
I have 4 sons, very different personalities. I taught them all to defend themselves. 3 rules, to defend yourself, to defend the people we love, to defend the defenseless. My oldest has never raised a hand, bullied, took it, my 2nd son started fighting those bullies, my 3rd son (on the spectrum) has only fought against his own bullies, my youngest will let you swing first but you wont swing again. Sometimes our children know who they are before we ever see it. This short reminds me of the moment that i realized my sons were not empty canvases but art already there just waiting to be seen.
My father would boil with rage if anyone bullied me. He filled sand and sawdust in his military kitbag and made me punch it till my knuckles were raw!! A strong father is what every kid needs!!
Im so glad i was born in this generation, my father didn’t need to teach me how to body slam a bully, thank God for WWE
You could tell the father just wanted to protect him. He wanted to fix it.
The number one reason kids are bullied is because they have a kind heart, a soft soul, and they wouldn't hurt anyone. The bully is trying to break the child to become just like them. When they do finally break, explode, the bully moves on to others to intimidate. It's a mistake to try and change someone from the unique person they are. Fathers mean well but it has consequences.
My daughter is just the sweetest and loveliest girl, playful, care about everyone, whats everyone to be happy. She was bullied so hard in first grade, that she started to draw pictures depicting herself sad, with sentences like „Everyone hates me, I hate myself“…when I saw the picture it completely broke me. As a parent you feel so helpless. And the bullied parents, are usually the reason they are bullies in the first place, so they are useless in solving the issue. Absolutely horrible Situation
