Pondicherry is NOT safe. I visited Pondicherry on a solo trip in Feb’25. I was constantly followed and chased. Once 2 drunk men literally chased me and my friend on their bikes till we went to the police station. It’s absolute not worth the horror.
Add sikkim. I did my first solo trip to Sikkim, and it was so right to choose Sikkim. People there are just ❤

I beg to differ. I visited Pondicherry with my sister in Feb of 2024 and we were cat called, approached and followed by local men out in the open on the busy street of Promenade. Even at a Restaurant, the wait staff was very direct and flirting with me.

I would also recommend andaman it is underrated and very safe. I did my first solo trip to andaman and i was so safe i almost forgot that i am in india. People are friendly and always helps. Although network is a problem especially in neil island but if you are a beach girly you gonna love itt.❤ 10/10
