Welcome to Okinawa. One thing you should remember when you plan to visit neighbor islands is, once typhoon or tropical storm approaches to Okinawa, ferries to/from neighbor islands are cancelled at least 3-4 days, sometimes a week long. So, the itinerary should be flexible, especially return flight to mainland Japan.
I've considered to visit Okinawa for such a long time but haven't found any video that portrait it like yours and gave me a proper impression. Wonderful to watch Maddie! <3
