1:29 You probably didn't know this, but that car is not a taxi. In Japan, taxis have dark green license plates. Cars with white license plates like this one are private vehicles and cannot charge passengers for rides. It's illegal. If you get into an accident, there is a risk that your insurance won't pay out.

I also did a 2 week solo trip and stayed in the shinjuku area back in the last 2 weeks of October. was my 3rd time in Japan so doing the solo trip after having been there a couple times before def made everything easier. Love just walking around Japan!

The high pitched noise by the stores is an anti loitering device! Teens and young adults hear them bc older adults lose the ability to hear high pitched sounds as they get older :) 21:02
