This is my hometown and I realised how lucky I am to live there and to be able to go hiking on just random days. I often forget that this is not reality for most of the people and how beautiful these views actually are. You get so used to it when you grow up with this. i also went on a solo trip (my first!) to switzerland. And it was perfect. I'm an 18 girl and i felt save. I didn't leave the hotel at night ofc, bit i went to every place of geneva, villages, mountains... Public transportation is one of the best I've ever seen (punctual, good frequency and many stops) and i didn't feel insecure once. So if you're planning to do your first solo trip as a woman i would recommend you Switzerland 100%. That said, it is the most expensive place to eat and sleep that I have ever seen, but I survived on bread, canned tuna, ham packaged from my house and boiled eggs. No luxury around here 😂

Four minutes in and I’m already crying. I’ve been to Switzerland twice during summer as an Aupair (summer 2023/2024). I miss it everyday. I’m from Madrid (Spain), and even though I love my city and country with all my heart, the beauty and peace this country fills my soul with is otherworldly. I long to go back there as soon as possible. I already speak French perfectly and I have signed up for a German course to master the two main languages that are spoken there. My biggest dream is to travel to every corner of the world. I’m 19 years old right now, and I’m writing this here as a form of manifestation for my future self, whether that’s five or ten years from now. I’ve always wanted to explore different places, both land and sea. I wasn’t raised with full support. I grew up feeling lost, unsure, and without much confidence. But to break this cycle, to end this curse, and to finally leave this toxic home, I know I have to push myself. I have to believe that one day, I will get to live the life I deserve my freedom. One day, I’ll be able to breathe without panic, without anxiety, stress, hatred, anger, or constant shouting. There will be a moment when peace finally feels real. And to anyone out there who carries a dream like mine, I hope we meet in the best version of ourselves.
