What a crazy take from Carl. The right to repair is a fundamental right. Otherwise there is a massive monopoly.
I think the Bugatti situation is not just protecting the brand.. Until now Bugatti was the car for the 1% of the world population, the unreachable. People would think of a bugatti like a unicorn, only for the chosen ones. It's not a car, it's a symbol. Owners themselves don't see it as a car but as an investment and a statement of their status. Stripping it apart and repairing one is a message. It shows that at the end of the day, it's just a car.. a very well built and beautiful car in my opinion, but just a car

He always thinks smart and stay logical,and honestly ,he 100% deserves everything he's achieved . if more people had this mindset ,the world would be a way better place. I genuinely think the best response that Bugatti could have done is sold the parts on the proviso that there is a Bugatti engineer onsite to inspect the repairs as they occur. Result would have been that Matt Armstrong builds his car and Bugatti can maintain their line that it was only possible due to their input. Win/win for everybody

On the Bugatti situation I think Mat is totally right, if Bugatti was so against anyone rebuilding it and protecting the brand why did they allow to go to auction and sell, just buy it from the auction and repurpose it
