My homeland is Nayarit, Mexico but I'm born and raised in the US. Every summer I'd go and visit my grandmother in our pueblo and she would take me to the natural springs and to the beach. Everytime I had to go back home I remember feeling so disconnected to my life in the US. I never really knew how to express those feelings. I found it interesting that you experienced that at the end of your video. I think it showcases how society in the US does not curate a connection with nature or a connection with our inner spirit. Thank you for sharing your story. It made me feel home.
