“Don’t get married, stay single.” Did you run into my parents lol
Im newly single and off to Turkey in 2 weeks, Germany/Amsterdam over Christmas and Asia and Oceania for 2 month next year for my 40th! woooo
I’d love to do this. I always plan trips with friends & family which never make it out of the WhatsApp group.🙄😂 I guess this is a sign to travel solo.🥰🛫
This just motivated me to take my trip abroad alone booking my trip to El Salvador
The way you talk, You could win Miss Universe ❤
Agree: Don't get married/stay single. The risks outweigh the benefits.
A very good series of suggestions. I've done many alone trips. Anyone 'old' reading this ? Go for it ! ( I;m 84)
I had uterine cancer 5 years ago and since I have always loved travel, I made up my mind to travel. My husband doesn't like to travel and I had summers off (professor) so I decided I would spend the summers traveling. It was a little scary the first time as I am a senior but I do speak fluent Spanish so the first summer I spent mostly in Spain and Portugal with a couple of weeks in Egypt, Morocco, and Andorra. I love your advice and enthusiasm. Don't wait until "some day" when conditions are right to go travel. If I can do this as a 68 year old, anyone can do it. I love this quote from Rick Steves, "Fear is for those who don't get out much". The world is a beautiful place full of mostly very nice people so make those memories!
I’m about to do a month of solo travel in Europe and stumbled upon your video, I’m definitely stealing the journal idea! As a pretty shy person, it takes me a lot to approach strangers in public and that is such a good idea <3
I’m preparing to go on a trip like this next summer. That icebreaker journal idea is golden I’m definitely stealing that!
48 hours ago I published a book on solo travel and the lessons it taught me. The biggest one was self trust. I can't believe how much I trust myself now. Lessons that happened without me even realising, until I started reflecting and realized how far I'd come.
I'm 19 from Canada and have been craving solo backpacking Europe for 90 days, only thing that's stressing me out is the cost. But I think I just need to do it, I'm sure there's ways to keep a low budget😅
Omgod. The crying out of fear and excitement in the same time is so real! I’m preparing for my solo trip in June, wish me luck ❤
These are great lessons!
your words resonated so much with me! just booked my own solo adventure for later this summer! i’m very scared but this helped me wanna push through..
Thanks for this video. I tend to obsess over very minor things, such as the idea of travelling through an airport or taking public transport for no real reason! Hearing your honesty and positivity has really helped to change my mindset from overly negative to hopeful 😁
If you travel alone you have so much more freedom and you don´t have any mask! I feel like when you travel with friends you often behave in a certain way and can´t really be free. And you hang out with them so you don´t meet new people.
I’m so happy that I’m doing it solo, I worry too much though that I won’t wake up for a planned tour or I will miss the train I have scheduled. Like, my alarm won’t go off. I’m 65 and the alone part has been amazing, so much joy. It is building confidence being outside my comfort zone for sure and having to use Google Translate a lot. I’m in it now…for two weeks. Thank you for this video.
3:40 that is such a great idea honestly ❤
I've been solo traveling for 4 years now and I totally agree with everything you said. I really like the idea of letting strangers writing down on your notebook. Smart idea. Hope you enjoyed France
