This is probably the first time I sat down and listened to an interview for almost 1 hour. Davido's energy is unmatched as always. I really want to thank Davido for what he said about Tiwa Savage. Boy, one thing I have learned about Davido is that he is an African nationalist when it comes to Afro music. This dude is inherently a good man.

Doesn't matter if Davido is a half American, or from a stupendously wealthy and Aristocratic family. We love the hell out of him in Nigeria.

This was such an entertaining interview—I smiled all the way through. 1. Davido showed genuine respect for his interviewers, and you could tell he knew them personally. 2. He remained humble and never came across as arrogant or disrespectful. 3. He educated both his American and African fans with grace and clarity. 4. He stayed true to himself—no pretending. He embraced his background and spoke openly about his family. 5. Even when sensitive family matters came up, which he could’ve chosen to avoid, he faced them head-on and gave heartfelt credit to the woman he deeply hurt. 6. He was funny. 7. He was clearly happy. 8. He was respectful throughout. 9. He honored his parents beautifully. 10. And most of all, he made Africa proud. Davido is the kind of guy who can sell out a massive concert, then pull up to your house and chill with a simple glass of Martell and some home-cooked food. I’ve heard so many stories from people close to him—he’s genuinely a cool, down-to-earth guy. David be cool and keep your head up. We can't wait for the album to drop. I am still waiting to you to come to the Midwest USA. We can't pull your numbers but you'll definitely enjoy yourself here.
