Finally an actual journalist interviewing an artist with actual intelligent questions about the music
This was probably the best interviewer I've ever seen. All of the questions and recognizing proper cues and touching on sensitive topics without making Miley feel targeted but SAFE!!
Miley is so layered, intelligent and honest. Takes a lot of courage and maturity to understand and admit publicly the pain of having the world loving you but your peers not recognizing your work for so many years. Puts into perspective that no matter how successful you are, pain and being discontent are part of life and could either be used as a sadness factor or as fuel for more and better work. She definitely used it as fuel and got where she wanted to get.
This diva raised me. I love how she's come into her own. Her raw raspy balled soulful voice is awesome.
The interviewer and Miley both showed up with 100% commitment for this, and it makes for something really special. This conversation feels intimate and palpably honest. Thank you so much, Lulu Garcia-Navarro!
God I’d die for her to write a massive memoir chronicling her 20 years in the industry.
Her awareness of her privilege and being able to talk about it, not apologize or make her whole identity compensating for what she was born into– but able to speak with awareness & clarity really shows her maturity. Also her speaking about her EMDR experience was so awesome - a looking glass into multigenerational trauma & the power of female lineages - celebrating the strong women we came from - celebrating Miley for the strong woman & example she has become
Miley is so self aware and she is so very intelligent
Miley now has 3 Grammys but she deserves 100 Grammys!!!
She’s so dang real. She does not fake the funk. Life is a lot to process! This is how we unwind it all
To anyone who's suffering depression, anxiety, insomnia and other mental health problems, you are not alone. I feel you. You are so brave. You are doing so well. I'm proud of you. I'm sending you a virtual hug ❤ what helped me get out of that dark spiral was journaling and mindfulness from Shift Your Mind by Alexander Brooks. The anxiety that used to control my whole day barely shows up now!🙏❤
Her description of her experience with EMDR therapy was so beautiful, I cried
I've watched hundreds of interviews. THIS interview is THE kind I LOVE. They are rare but when you find one where the person asking the question is this good and the artist is this open and comfortable IT. IS PURE. JOY.
She is so right. She deserved her flowers from the very beginning bc she really did raise an entire generation. A piece of me def feels like a piece of Miley. It’s so symbolic she got her flowers with the song flowers.
I love this interviewer. She is 100% Present. Everything about her body language says "I'm listening." Even her skin. She's lovely.
Miley blossomed into an absolutely beautiful woman!
As an EMDR therapist and creative type who also works with creative types, this was one of the loveliest interviews I've ever listened to about a person's journey in EMDR therapy. I really appreciated how Miley Cyrus elaborated on her therapy and process with EMDR -- and that it wasn't just a one-time thing because she has put in the work on her journey. I was particularly taken with her comment about her younger self and her adult self catching up to each other, too. It was truly inspirational to listen to Lulu Garcia-Navarro ask deep and important questions, and for Miley Cyrus to be so open. This piece will certainly help others. Well done.
This amazing lady Lulu Garcia-Navarro should open an academy and teach people "How to conduct an intelligent interview", behaving like a stable human being, having an interviewee relaxed & open, not trying to pull out clickbait-y, gossipy crap, but being respectful and asking smart questions & have an engaging conversation of actual substance!!👌 Great job! 👏
She is the definition of a healthy sagittarius. Very intelligent, eloquent, authentic, free. She is living her full self and I love it.
In 2011 my family had an encounter w Miley Cyrus and she is one of the most genuinely sweet people I’ve come across in LA; She and a companion were the only other patrons in a sushi restaurant on Sunset, I was there w my 3 young kids (7,4,2). I told my oldest daughter, hey that’s “Hanna Montanna”, she didn’t believe me because M was wearing a Hollywood disguise, but my son seized the moment when MC was leaving and opened the door for her, she said: “Why thank you young lad”, in her epic voice, it completely melted my heart, such a pure vibe.
