'Obsession' Cast & Director Break Down That Brutal Ending, The One Wish, And Nikki’s Horror Turn

i really did like that he almost vomited out the pills in cowardice and it was so fitting, gald they did that.

When he said ''your performance was incredible'' to Inde she missed the opportunity to say ''oh thank you so so so so so so much'' lol

Bear was basically a nice guy rapist. He used a wish to remove her autonomy to force her to like him. The sex scene after the dinner out where is she is blankly staring at the ceiling while he's jackhammering away, that was basically rape. She pleads with him later on to kill her, he coldly makes it about him, and says "What is so bad about me?" Up and to the end, Bear was too much of a coward, he tried to first modify the wish, then he tried to get someone else to change the wish for him. Even when he's about to kill himself, he tries to puke out the pills at the last minute because he was too much of a coward to follow through.

Also no one is pointing that since Nikki was alive when she was taken over she was disgusted by bear. When she awakes after his death she doesn’t even cares he’s dead and throws him off her in disgust. A little fact I haven’t seen anyone notice

I actually thought the ending would have been even more twisted and dark if Bear hadn't taken the pills and that, after Nikki breaks the One Wish Willow wishing Bear would love her more than anyone in the world, they ended up together. Obsessed with each other and trapped for the rest of their lives.

Kudos to Michael for coming up with that moment they talk about here in the ending of the film, love how the music in that scene even reflected it, like "Finally, Bear's doing the right thing, time for peace aaaaaaaand nope, never mind, he wussed out again" 😅

Part of me forgot that nikki didnt use her wish and was hoping they would do a stains gate scenario where they would have wished to reset back to the car scene ending it with them crying together that bear hasn't snapped it yet.... that would have made me cry even more but then I forgot she used her wish which broke my heart 💔

Bear reminds me of Jack Quaid in Companion; they’re both characters that deal with very common frustrations (wishing someone liked you back, feeling like you deserve more than the life you have now) in the worst way possible.

this remind me alot of movie Together, thought the alternative ending would be she end up eating him alive btw the movement design in the movie is so good, so haunting and remarkable

I think the ending in the movie with Bear wanting to live and trying to regurgitate the pills does hit harder than him accepting his fate. Both times he backed out mentally but it was still too late for both of them but yet right on time for the unpossessed Nikki.

I feel dumb now I thought the pills made Bear high for the final seconds of his life and that’s why he fell back in love with her. But I guess she used the wish on him as well
