It looks like a Schwarzwälder Cheery Cake to me. I am no baker but as far as I know your cream is good, because it melted after time. Industrial cakes have ingrredients which makes it hardly cream anymore. So yeah, it doesn't look pretty but it is and indicator for good ingredients to me. ^^
