If Mr. Hopkins gave me that flower, it would cheer me up for life, the life that's miserable.
The beauty of this scene really hits home if you know anything about LGBTQ culture of that era. He not only is a gentleman but acts so in an era where LGBTQ women were truly ostricizes from society. We lived in the margins and no one gave a fuck about us. Not just the perceived persecution of today but the era where we couldn't get work by normal means and we just did the best we could with adult work.
This is one reason why Anthony Hopkins is one of the greatest actors to ever live.

A wonderful adaptation of a historical sports figure. One thing that always struck me: unlike many sports films, there are no manufactured "bad guys." Everyone on Burts' journey aids him in some way. Everyone is acting in good faith. It could easily become treacly, but it never crosses that line. Perhaps that's one of the reasons for its enduring popularity.
Whatever your taste in film , this is one not to miss.( The world's fastest Indian).
