I'm so tired of this nepo baby talks. Nigerians are so obsessed with it. In western countries, the nepo babies try to distance themselves from it and move towards a self-acclaimed narrative but the same isn't to be said for nigerians. In a country where social mobility has completely broken down turning towards family connections is the only way . I hate how 'LAPO babies' talk down on themselves. It is okay to acknowledge your struggles, but self-pity just makes you look weak. You should be channeling that energy into demanding a better government and society. The truth is, most people don't actually hate the corruption,they just hate that they aren't benefiting from it. The constant focus on privilege pushes people to do anything, even illegal things, just to get connections and finally be heard in a broken system. P.S - coming from a nepo too so people won't say it's jealousy
