It looks fabulous all opened up. Maybe a rock wall with a semi circle of rock at tree roots filled with dirt to secure and protect. A fire pit area, your stone table would look great and a great hang out areas between accommodation for guests to hang.
Of course, you were going to find a tape measure on the day the not garage is getting demolished. That was so funny 🥰
I believe that little building served its purpose in storing your belongings, and its demolition was both sad and deeply moving, but it also revealed a breathtaking view. What a magnificent sight!

The Notgarage was the hub of your goings and comings, and your inspirations; the collector of ideas. It’s set the tone for your designs and builds. It housed your water system, your laundry, toys, bicycles and the tools that built the farm. It was the original hub of activity in harvest season, as its original reason for existence, making wine and storing vegetables created community and ensured a good winter. You even dried vegetables on its roof. It provided comic relief with its name and helped with the shaping of the farm’s landscaping. And it is now sacrificing its very existence for the progress required for this family’s dreams to be realized. What a great character for your next book Tara!

John mentioned a not-garden. You could have a knot-garden … you know box hedging forming Celtic style knots with little pathways of gravel in between. You could have different herbs and edible flowers growing in different sections. It could supply your kitchen, be visually stunning and be a reflective place to sit. ❤
