Porsche showed the world exactly what their ideal customer looks like. In their iconic 2006–2007 commercial, a 10-year-old boy spots a Porsche 911 driving past his classroom. He becomes completely captivated, sneaks out, runs to the dealership, sits in the car, and carefully studies every detail. And says: “I’ll see you in about 20 years.” Porsche understood that the best customers aren’t made through aggressive marketing they’re cultivated over decades through deep emotional connection. That little boy wasn’t ready to buy yet… but he was already sold for life. . . . It's been 20 years now. Porsche needs to do us a solid and bring us Part 2 Commercial with the kid grown up
The salesman is a gem.
Salesman is playing the long game... And I'm all for it. That was genuinely wholesome
"You want to get in" one line that meant the world to the boy 😊
I love this ad. I wish they still made ads like this.
this ad is not just selling you a car. its selling you that feeling. one of best ads out there
Salesman delivered true customer relationship.
It’s such a culture shock to see ads that are just straightforward, no rage bait or weird marketing tactics. Just a simple message
One of the best adverts I have seen
True story. I was in 6th grade, obsessed with cars. Went after school to a Porsche dealership where I'd seen a used Viper sitting outside. The salesmen were very nice, let me sit in a few Porsches and the viper, and sent me on my way with a hat, polo shirt and some other sweet Porsche swag. It was a highlight of my childhood
I worked at a a Porsche dealership in Houston. Pre Owned. A man in his early 30s walked onto the lot in shorts and none of the men wanted to wait on him because of this. We had a pristine late model 911 Cabriolet on the lot. He wanted to test drive it. We did. When we got back, he asked for the price, I gave it. He didn’t even negotiate it. He just took out his check book and said, you know how many years I’ve been waiting to do this? Smiled and drove off! Lesson, never ever judge! 🥰❤️
Now this is how commercials should be.. not just some shots of the car being driven fast with the exhaust sound and a male or female model driving it.
That’s a beautiful advert. Absolutely pure human emotion conveyed without the usual loud bs. Better than most movies.
They should've made another commercial 20 years later with the same kid and the same salesman. The salesman now runs the dealership. A younger salesman comes in his office and tells him there's someone here to see him. He walks out into the showroom to find an adult he doesn't recognize. The kid, now that grown adult, hands him the business card from 20 years earlier. The next shot is the two shaking hands and the new owner driving his 911 off the lot. He drives by the same school he was once a student at. A new student looks out the window and dreams of a 911.
I like how the salesman treated the kid❤
The music, the visuals, so relaxing, emotional, never made a car look so good
It's been I think 20 years now? Please make a sequel with him grown up! It will do this a solid to this original.
he's not a kid who just wanted a porche in 20years, he's the kid who sets a goal to succeeed in life in so he can afford a porche
I'm not even interested in cars but this ad gives you the feels.
That's the way a salesperson should act with everyone kinde and gentle 👍
