Watching mark float around the gene donor plant without interacting with it hurt me physically

You can tell the devs tried REALLY hard to make the gene donor plants obvious as hell to players but SOMEHOW Mark is impervious to such attempts.
People let us remember this is the same man whom in the first game. Started, fire extinguisher in hand, looking at a fire and didn't put out the fire for MANY episodes. At least he is consistent.
Watching Mark strive so hard for food when Jack finds it easily. Watching Jack look so hard for Silver when Mark runs into a cave of it. There's some kind of juxtaposition here.
