Race Tires vs Street Tires

The reason they destroy them imeadetly after race is because they don't want competitiore's,getting a hold of one of them and test to find out what compounds they're using in their tires.

Many bikers think themselves as a Moto Gp rider with a 150 cc bike and 140mm tire. 😂😂😂

All these guys playing road racer on the streets are turning themselves into grease spots because they don't know this.

The next best street tyres that give lots of lean was from michelin.. though not like those on circuits..., but it survive the most 6 months.... 😂😂😂😂... after 1 year (3 replacement) of using those tyres, I humbled down to semi soft compound. 😂😂😂 errr less hurtful for my pockets.

The tyres aren't destroyed, you can actually buy old ones. Michelin have exclusive rights to make MotoGP tyres so there is no competition

In short road compound build for optimal grip and mileage for low impact use. Track built for maximum grip but limited mileage

Ok, but in F1 Pirelli is the only company allowed to provide tires & offer a v limited range of tires for drivers to use. On a standard Grand Prix weekend, drivers are given 13 sets of dry weather tyres, five sets of intermediates and two sets of full wets. An extra set of softs is reserved for those who reach Q3 in Qualifying, while all drivers must use at least two different slick compounds during the race, providing the track is dry. At the end of race week Pirelli gathers the tires, regardless of condition, & destroys them.
