WTF is this upload schedule, we are blessed!
One thing I forgot to mention - I drowned this AT the "advanced" way by riding straight into a five foot hole. But even if you're not as dumb as I am, it's pretty easy to do. When you drop any adventure bike on its side the dash will be 18 inches off the ground. So it's worth being extremely careful (or extremely rich) if you're going to attempt even a moderate water crossing on a modern "adventure" bike. ~RF9

I'm holding out for a fully self driving motorcycle that goes out by itself on weekends and then comes back and maintains itself so I can sit and watch TV

Glad to know the Africa Twins dash costs just as much as an old V-Strom 1000

I'm an IT guy, and I hate computers on cars and motorcycles, they belong in the office and the data center, not in my darn vehicles!

This needs to be said again again by many more. Thank you for speaking the facts that really matter. Bikes of today have all too many unnecessary electronics that are a major failing point. They need to tone it down...A LOT.

As an older Gen Z guy watching this, I just want to thank you for your balanced video editing. It's great! Lots of information but no extreme cut editing, excessive panning zooming or unecessary noise effects. I think you will hit 3M subsribers soon. My favorite motorcycle channel.

FWIW, the trick to drying out drowned electronics is to start by doing the opposite. As soon as humanly possible, dunk and thoroughly rinse them in distilled water. Goal is to get out the salts and other crud that lead to corrosion. Pull any onboard lithium batteries. Then dunk and thoroughly wash with rubbing alcohol. This is to displace the water especially in the smallest spaces, and with little surface tension it'll run out quicker, and the rest evaporates.. Then let it sit for a few hours with light warm airflow, until dry.

My 2016 Africa Twin is the only bike I have ever kept longer than 4 years. It may not be the best at anything, but when you want to ride 600 miles in a day on all kinds of roads, it's the bike I always go for. But alas, mine has less tech, less issues and still just as fun!

The 1985 XR600R was the first production motorcycle with a digital dash. The 1986 XR600R came with a classic dash.

A non-waterproof part on an "adventure bike" that will brick the bike if it gets wet and costs $5,000 to replace? No thanks. I'll be in the market for a very late model used KLR with analog gauges.

Buoyancy testing these adventure bikes is an overlooked selling point.
