You've reached the end
As painful as it was to watch, respect for gettin the job done with limited resources.
Torque spec. Fukn tight
Meanwhile my engine built in a lab leaks coolant
This is some Mad Max level mechanic'ing right here 🧑🔧
This is called doing the best you can with what you have
There is a German engineer hyperventilating watching how much dirt and dust is happening around this operation
After this video I belive having cars in the apocalypse is possible.
Makes me feel more confident that I'll be able to get my project car running.
From an engineer that won the lottery by being born where I was born, guys this is pure ingenuity. Doubling up the head gaskets, using diesel as a lubricant, and reviving what 90% of the world would consider a dead car so it can put bread on the table for a family is just 💯 keep it up
Me touching one sensor and the engine light showing 😂
As someone with a fatal attraction to absolute shitboxes that break down all the time these guys are a genuine inspiration.
"I don't need a torque wrench; I just tighten it until my elbow clicks or the bolt snaps—whichever comes first."
U can hear the dust when he put the piston in the cylinder 💀
That car is on marketplace now, "fresh rebuild"
It's actually a decent job done given the conditions and capabilities. The two head gaskets to lower the compression ratio, lubing everything and specifically the oil pump prefill pre-assembly, rtv gasket where necessary, the list goes on. These guys know what they're doing and they do their best. Massive kudos to them
As Mario Sergio Cortella often says: "Do your best, given the conditions you have, until you have better conditions to do even better."
In Africa there is a proverb which says: if you break down in the desert, you either repair it and start again or you die on the spot.
On the next episode we use a birds nest as an air filter.
Dunno. Trust these guys more than my local car shop.
That car hasn't been washed in 3,000,000 miles either.
