David Niven was one of the best interview at Michael Parkinson, always funny and telling stories and jokes to crack the host an the audienxe. And we love to see Parky in stitches laughing. #funnyvideo #funnyvideos #screenwriter #screenwriting #screenplay #hollywoodlegends #film #filmmaking #cinema #movies #didyouknow #writing #writers #advice #tips #films #story

I have a feeling my dad, who was very North European in looks and extremely funny and polite modelled himself a bit on Mr. Niven. My dad was a big Anglophile and so, I became one too, my opinion corroborated by 9 years living in UK

Last line: "shut up & ..." (what?)
Great story teller. Just not funny.
"Shut up! I'm pissed (drunk)"
Two delightfull gentlemen..❤️❤️❤️
I still laughed at that joke. My dad told me that joke years ago.
How awful to run across a stage and show of your short comings!!
He was even a better story teller in writing. I've rarely enjoyed any books as much as his "The Moon's a Balloon" and "Bring on the Empty Horses." The first one, being more autobiographical really shows what a charming man he was. He was forever meeting someone casually in an elevator or someplace, and after 10 minutes, they'd invite him come spend a week at their country house. Wonderful, versatile actor, too!!
punchline doesn't work on an American🇺🇸 .."Pissed" merely means very angry to us...
I haven't watched this yet, but I remember it very clearly from when it first aired. I'm 55 now and it's still a very clear memory - I especially remember my dad (long passed now) roaring with laughter. Core memory.
Never gets old !
Am i missing something, that's not funny !
Why missing the last few words?
The Smothers Brothers have a great song about this! "Crabs Walk Sideways and Lobsters Walk Straight". Check it out!
What an incredible gentleman!!
I don’t get it. Either it’s stupid or badly delivered. I at first and it also is the only word that wasn’t written that the crab was pissed (drunk). They kept that off the writing. Why?
Never see the likes of these golden age actors again ...
Two lovely men R.I.P
I can`t make out the punchline, could someone help me out please?
