I don't know if you'll ever actually read this. But today I turned on my husband's YouTube list for the first time in 6 months. He watched your channel everyday it was a highlight of his day. My Kevin was diagnosed with ALS in May of 2024 and passed in October of 2025. He worked on vehicles all the time loved it. You helped to keep him grounded when he finally lost the use of his hands he had a set group of channels we watched no matter what. Now I'm sitting in his chair watching you it's like having him here . Thank You for you have no clue what it meant to him watching you. We had even got my dad and brother and to watching your channel and the worst part was I lost my dad and my brother 5 weeks before I lost my husband It's taking this long to be able to open up Kevin's YouTube channels but thank you for what you do You don't realize how much it does help people It's not just entertaining It helps people who can't get out and do and we're used to doing just to see you working on a vehicle and he would sit and tell me what you were doing and why you were doing it. So from Kevin Blair thank you
Glad to see ED is doing alright.
Wise old saying: Can't blame the horses under the hood for the damage done by the donkey in the driver's seat!
Ed is such a gem, glad he still pops in from time to time.
My mom was a Rosy the Riveter - she ground propeller welds at a typewriter factory that was converted into wartime propeller factory in New York around Endicott/Johnson City. She’s 101. Doing pretty good for 101! She got into nursing because she didn’t like grinding welds! 😂
Matt im a fan of the show. I hardly ever comment. Forget the pop rivets and put wipers and defrost on the wrecker. Do it yesterday. Love you all.
When replacing my serpentine belt I always make sure I have a piece of paper and some crayons and a pen because the crayons are for eating, I like cherry.
Watching Matt and Jamie working together, sharing a meal in the shop with doggo supervision. Just about as wholesome as it gets.
Matt, you and the team don't understand how much you mean to alot of us. The world is crazy, things are rough...but MORR brings joy to many of us. Thank you for letting us be a part of your world for the past several years. Made the trip to Huricane (from Ohio) a few years back, you live in a beautiful part of the country for sure. Thanks for all you do, i'm glad you make a living doing what you love.
One thing has always perplexed me about power steering pumps on GM and other vehicles. Why is there no holes in the pulley to get to the only bolt that is keeping from removing the pump? Do they make bank on the special puller or something? On my own vehicle I just took a drill to it.
Jamie is straight up wonderful, and I'm really glad to see Ed helping out
Super Awesome to see Ed up and about and helping out in the shop!
Matt, Jamie, Ed and Rudy video, doesn’t get much better. Thanks for taking us along.
Matt, I worked for 44 years for the same company. I did different jobs along the way. The whole company was run very much like a family, sometimes perhaps a dysfunctional family but the care and concern for the employees was everything. I eventually became a general manager of 2 water and wastewater companies. I continued to manage people the way I was managed. I see the very same thing at Matt’s Off Road! You treat your people with respect and compassion, that’s why it all works! It’s why I enjoy watching your channel so much.
Snapping the power steering pump shaft is extremely common on GM trucks, I probably replaced 100's of them over a 15 year period as a GM tech.
I like to draw the belt diagram with a silver sharpie somewhere in the engine compartment for reference purposes
Matt, just a tip for you when purging air from the power steer pump, add fluid to top, start engine and turn wheel all the way right then shut off engine. You will see bubbles add more fluid till bubbles stop. Start engine and turn all the way left then shut engine off. Do same thing add more fluid watch till bubbles quit. I am retired master auto-truck mechanic now retired. Best regards I watch your channel all the time and love what you do. Bob Clancy
Failure analysis is always fun.
Working with your sons and family has to be the best of times for you and them
Next Project Hopefully: WINDSHEILD WIPERS FOR THE WLORR!
