1. Remove flap assembly. 2. Throw flap assembly away.
Hook a hose up to the Drain Spout
I think putting a hose on that drip spout was the idea that the engineers envisioned in their mind. Then it would have been a pretty clean job.
Some engineer had to justify their job.
