You've reached the end
Who's got syringes just laying around? People that steal bikes.
Truing the wheel using a zip tie will work.
To be fair: Centering your wheel with zip ties as guides works decently well if you don't have the proper tools (yet)
The gas cleaning trick would be much better with diesel instead, it's a lubricant versus the gas will remove all lubrication
I worked at a bmx shop for years. The zip tie on the rear frame is how I used to true wheels while at the skate park or out riding and didn’t have a truing stand. If a kid had a bent wheel I’d always have a few zip ties at the bottom of my backpack with a spoke tool. Saved a lot of people from wasting money on new wheels thinking it was unfixable
as a cyclist of many years, I wish I would have thought of that dowel rod handlebar trick, So many specialty products out there that do the same thing for 10x the money and they are non-repairable
That tandem bike idea, my dad and I actually did when I was a kid. We were out riding around town together and my front tire picked up a nail like 30 minutes from home so we just pulled the wheel off and hooked my front forks to his bike and rode home. It was actually pretty fun.
DO NOT use WD40 on ur shocks cuz it will destroy the rubber seals. It's a penetrating oil & will attract dirt inside the fork!
The mudguard was actually more to prevent rain from kicking up off the back tire and onto your back not for any heavy use
I have syringes sitting around. But also, I take medications that use them.
A couple of these aren't too far off from what my bike is like. I have a rubber cane tip over where one of the handlebar grips is torn and a lawn flamingo for a rear fender (was originally on another bike of mine but outlasted it). The only thing specifically bought for the bike is a headlight. Everything else has either been made from junk or scavenged. Edit: The bike was also saved from a landfill. It was nearly new, so I'm not sure why the previous owner was just throwing it away.
I have used the zip tie to help true a wheel for years. It's great because you can just leave it on the bike but since it's flexible it doesn't get in the way of taking the wheel on or off.
I've used the zip tie to help true my wheels any time I need to true them.
You are locking your bike with a Master Lock, you can unlock your bike with another Master Lock.
The zip tie thing is actually top tier
"Who's got syringes sitting around?"
Him: "who has a syringe lying around?" Me, a T1D: that would be my dumbass
He looks like Steve from The Minecraft Movie😂💀
That bike lock looks like a good way to have a criminal attempt to steal your bike and just break it instead. Like they might not notice it there and grab the bike and just try to pedal it and bend your brake disc and chain or damage the gears right there. If there's a big obvious bike lock on it, unless they think they can get the lock off they're not going to mess much with it. Also little padlocks like those are typically really easy to get open in multiple ways. Shims, picks, bump keys,
"Now light it on fire" I had the same thought 😂
