My sister and I bought new in 2016 a VFII Redline each in Prussian Steel Grey. When we had family events to go to we'd meet up at each others places before we went to see family so we could drive our cars together in traffic. Didn't matter how busy the roads were we'd always have cars in front of us pull over to the left lane and let us through. Sometimes I'd cheekily give them a 'copper's nod' as we drove past.

Adam, as a drummer, my one car is the Kia Stinger for fun and practicality for loading the drum kit. I've recently downsized the bass drum to a 1990s 18-inch Sonar kick, and Yamaha cross-town stands to reduce size and weight (getting too old to lug heavy gear). Now that I've reduced the kit volume, I'm tossing up between Jim's recommendation of the ISF or your Guila choice.

There must be something wrong with my VF SSV Redline wiper blade arms, because I bought wiper tech blades for it and they were horrible, shuddered across the screen and squeaked like hell. So I bought a second set thinking I must have been unlucky, and this pair didn't shudder but they squeaked, left trails at the tips and generally annoyed the hell out of me. A trip to repco later and not even knowing what I even purchased from the guy at the desk, and I have smooth quiet blades. Go figure.

I currently have 2 cars, a GLB35 and an i8. But if I was to just stick to one car that fits all my needs I think the overall best car that just does everything is the M3 touring.

Macan S Diesel specced with air suspension and tuned to be the same as the last SQ5 diesel and the stupid 21” wheels replaced with 20” wheels. Brisbane to Canberra on a single tank of fuel in absolute comfort and would go like stink when required to.

5-10 2009 Ford Fiesta CL 1.6 manual. Had new, was great, fun, efficient looks cool. 10-20k, NC MX-5 manual pref a rc. Same. 20-40k, the schmickest e46 330ci cabriolet money could buy. 40-80k, an R230 SL500. 80k plus, Lotus Exige V6 roadster. One car garage you say? I don't have kids, also have a motorbike and a train nearby to get to work when the last 3 aren't working.

I’d have so many, but damn near at the top of my list would be a pre-LCI CT5V Blackwing with a manual

$20-40: 2024 Suzuki Swift Sports (my wife's wheels - she chose this after mucho research). Great for parking! $40-80: 2024 Lexus NX 250 (mine - I picked this on recommendation by John Cadogan, after my 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk suddenly shat its tranny a month after my wife got her wheels.) Great for cruising, but it's not a performance thing. Just love the fact that I've only had to service it and not bring it in for constant recalls like the Jeep FFS.

BMW 5 Series may be a police car in some states (VIC & NSW mostly), it is not a thing in other states. In Queensland it would be a Kia Stinger.

Hi Adam and Jim. Wife and I are looking at a retirement car soon. We have a 2021 Focus ST manual which I doubt we will ever sell (quite rare) but want something sporty and comfortable/refined. As brands we like Lexus and Genesis. Any reason to pick one over the other?
