I also drive with hand control. I absolutely hate using the spinner knob, it makes it significantly more difficult to turn because it's in a fixed position and when you're turning a vehicle where you place your hand to start a turn really depends on the type of turn. My car is older so it has a thinner steering wheel that is very easy to grasp firmly with one hand. Not even able bodied people use hand over hand.
