I really hoped for them to sell Excellence model here (SEA) as that model charge way faster, also still is on 600V but it has over 350A current which let the car charge much faster with a much better curve.
C'mon mate. Dare you to reveal your go to karaoke tube during the Wednesday update vid. It's vitally important car news! Feann: This week. Byd release million kw charging sure to drain the entire Australian electricity grid...... And I reveal why Don't look back in anger is my karaoke fave... Great review, as always, but think I prefer the look and interior of the SL8!
I wish the interior came in a lighter colour, like white or tan.
6:15 - My Hyundai Ioniq 6 has door handles which flip out. There is no "push this bit in" unless the car door is locked and the power is off (battery flat; ie. never) and then I would need to use the physical key to unlock. The handles flip out themselves any time, whenever I unlock the car. I'd much rather this than handles which you cannot get open without power.
Is tesla fsd legal n australia? And isn’t it an extra? Like an expensive extra?
If it was lighter and more efficient it would be perfect. The warranty is still terrible and the parts and tech support is not there. As it stands, it falls short for me.
Do women not watch you tube videos? When will reviewers start to mention the suitability of the centre underneath storage for a handbag
Actual owner feedback: - Warped dash after 1 Aus summer. - Shudder in the rear drive shafts. - Misaligned steering wheel/seat by around an inch. - Rattle in my Panoramic roof. - Electrical hum when in D or R. - EQ settings that always reset. - Seat which doesn't return to preset position. - Auto aircon with the dummest logic. - Auto wipers that ramp up but rarely ramp back down. - Steering that needs constant micro adjustments at freeway speed. - Side mirror that doesn't extend enough. - Super light accelerator pedal making it impossible to maintain any speed. - Rear head restraints that dig into upper shoulders, and incompatible with anyone with a pony tail. Worst is how it drives down an ordinary road. It bounces like no other and floats like no other at speed. It's OverSprung and under damped. The product sheet ticks many many boxes, but refinement in implementation is severely lacking. 4 months in and I'm selling it.
The majority of vehicle manufacturers no longer have spare parts warehouses in Australia including Toyota. It took over 6 weeks for a new front bumper for my Toyota Camry hybrid to arrive from overseas.
100% Agree. Bought one, it's awesome
"Jesus handles" Love it!!!
Well in Germany the Excellence AWD cost 43k! That is absolutely insane! Outclassing everyone else.
When OTA updates are done by 3rd partys apparently in China, there will always likely be issues. Resale values appear to be over inflated ??
Put some context to the 700%!! I guess auto assembly workers in China are poorly paid.
this car is not outselling everything in Australia. The model Y is the 10 best selling vehicle of type in australia.
Just under 3000km in our performance. Has some bugs, but overall an excellent car! 0 regrets.
When you mention “Carsales” pricing. Could you please include the info available to dealers? Like it’s advertised for $69k but has been on the sight for 357days…. 🤔
At 14:19 It’s mentioned that it has a feature like Tesla sentry mode, but I cannot find any specs for this feature on the BYD website
I have owned one for a while now and it’s a good car. Unfortunately it’s let down by software glitches and BYD’s lack of OTA updates that countries like the UK enjoy. We seem to be a forgotten market despite it’s popularity 😔
I have bought one, following on from my Seal Performance! Waiting patiently for it to arrive in July 2026!
