I love Autozone. They let me change out a coil in their parking lot. They diagnosed the problem, sold me the part and loaned me the tools to fix it myself. God Bless Autozone!

This is the true definition of DIY. When you can barely afford the parts, you have to do the labor on site. Bless these guys!

Economy isn’t shot. People are just sick of getting ripped off by all the high priced mechanic shops….especially at the car dealerships!

Autozone is smart for doing this, they're keeping their customers close and the customers love not having to driveback with another vehicle when they forget something they just walk right back in

As a mechanic I see the prices people pay to get their car repaired. I'm 100% glad I know how to work on my own vehicle.

Its a hustle. I used to do it until a amateur got squashed under a car not using jack stands. I made good money and saved people a lot more. Just because one fool died doing what he wasnt built to do died they dont allow anything that requires the car to be lifted. The economy wasnt bad then. I/ we did it because we liked it and we where good at it. I had a $20 a hour job back then and did this because its dope. Oil change. I could go right in and dispose of the oil. Jobs required specialist tool. Many times the customer would just give it to me though the technically could have returned it. I met really great people. Seriously cool. I kept many as customers for decades. I still talk to some even. The best bonds are done under hoods. Why you think Dads buy father son project cars? Dont hate man. Many of those guys will go on to be heavy hitters in society one day.

Excellent idea. WIN WIN WIN! The parts are right there half a block away. Good for Autozone. They sell more parts. Good for the mechanics. They don't have to pay for a big shop. Good for the customers. They pay far less, fast immediate job.
