The so-called "thing of beauty" chameleon is super mean. One of the males won the battle, what's her problem? She's not pregnant and mustn't be trusted, she's just a BIG OL' MEANIE. I don't like that specimen, not one bit ⚔!

To me, Madagascar is the closest place can get to traveling back in time. The baobabs look otherworldly, and the chameleons always freak me out. Re: the brief breeding time for lemurs, it almost sounded as if Sir David was rolling his eyes when he mentioned that one female had mated six times in one day!
Chameleons never “evolved”, scientists thought wrong. Luck fake, blessings real!
Madagascar’s incredible wildlife proves that survival isn’t about size or strength—it’s about adaptation. Some of these species seem fragile, yet they’ve outlasted giants. Truly humbling.
The journey of the crowned lemurs across those cliffs honestly had me holding my breath. Seeing them climb down that massive drop with such confidence just shows how adaptable animals can be when survival depends on it. But at the same time, knowing the fossa could be lurking nearby added this constant tension that never really went away. I feel like people don’t talk enough about predators like the fossa since they aren’t as famous as lions or leopards, yet they’re just as fascinating. It’s kind of humbling to realize that on Madagascar, the “top predator” is something totally different. I’m curious how often lemurs actually escape these encounters in the wild. Does anyone know if their populations are stable?
