you could use silicone gasket maker and it won't mess up the paint or just cut some rubber to make a pad

"Worst thing to do to your truck". To cause minor paint damage on what should be a work vehicle. I was worried about oil changes and mechanical damage. Glad we cleared that up.

Pulled mine on my gmt800 silverado, bare metal line outlining where the flairs were. It’s a beater that I plan on making into a desert runner so I don’t really care but definitely know for when I get a new truck to not buy one with the flairs on there
