Clicked on this for Yeng Hua’s look! It’s very very clearly inspired by the Tang Dynasty and I love that. ^^ As a fan of Chinese media, I’ve been glad more and more people are getting into Chinese media and starting to know Chinese celebrities (eg through cdramas), and obviously cases like the most recent Met Gala has made people recognize them even more as fashion powerhouses by comparing the Met Gala to regular Chinese red carpet/award show/performance looks. Which is also why I just wanted to add that besides Yeng Hua, I’m also excited that He Changxi and He Yanzhao could be invited to the Cannes Film Festival… Especially since not only are they the first (Asian) BL (boys’ love, aka danmei, when referring to Chinese BL) pairing to ever do so, they arrived and walked specifically as a pair—and looked pretty great doing so too. ^^ I’ll be keeping an eye out to see if any more Chinese celebrities were there. 👀
