fun fact (spoilers): as mentioned by couri, this season marks the very first time where none of either the big three (hax, doogile, and lowkey) will be in the podium. it truly is the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. the competition is only gonna grow fierce from here, and no longer can we expect those three to comfortably dominate as usual. what a beautiful and refreshing elimination order.

nhb played 3/5 seeds better than Fein, but all he needed to do was die once instead of twice. Fein got lucky for sure, but not dying is an essential skill undeniably and it made the difference

No one is allowed to *seriously* complain about fein's luck considering the whole health situation (1:30:54 for some reference). Even though the match did get postponed he's still feeling 95% in his words, so it's not like he played at the peak of his ability today, and if having that happen during playoffs is not unlucky than idk what is. Like I agree it's kinda lame for it to come down to a perch race but A. Like he said himself, he put himself in the position to get lucky, bowed very few crystals for the highroll potential, and B. Luck is part of the game, it's still incredibly competitive and skill based, about as much as Minecraft can be, and the fact that here and there some stuff is rng absolutely doesn't invalidate all it took to get to this point. At least we can rest assured perch rng is gonna be standardized from s11 onwards (surely). And if you really wanna see who's definitively the best, playoffs is probably not the place for that anyways, with a single elim bo5 bracket, that's why we have the actual elo leaderboard.
