I remember watching this fight on Wide World Of Sports in my youth. Damn I'm oldπ
I was arguing/debated with someone on YouTube that put Mayweather Jr over Ali.....Ali fought more monsters in a 5 year span than Floyd's entire career, and those monsters were in their prime!
He study all his swings then Muhammad Ali was untouchable
Remember this joint. Ron thought he could outclass Ali, "I ain't goin' for the Ropa-Dope". And Ali stayed calm, and started unleashing on Ron. But you could clearly see the declining in Ali. I wish he woulda hung it up after that 3rd fight with Frazier, Thriller in Manilla. GOAT!!ππΎππΎπ€
Incredible Aliπ ... He dashed Lile hopeπ
He can't do nothing to Muhammad Ali but good try
Stop it this is Muhammad Ali we are talking about Ali played with him
An you think Ali didn't know who he was fighting? Stop it!!!
ALI IMPROVISED EXTENDED ROPE A DOPE OFF THE ROPES. THEN LET RIP WITH HIS IDLING MACHINE GUNS. LEFT LYLE WONDERING WHERE DID THEY COME FROM? ALI HARDLY HAVING THROWN ANY PUNCHES THROUGHOUT THE FIGHT. WAS RELAXED AND COULD STRIKE WITH FULL SPEED AND POWER. FIGHTING SMART. NOT FIGHTING HARD WINS AT THE END OF THE DAY.
The master of the ropa dope... ππ
Because Ali was a tremendous boxer, his speed skill and knowledge of how to dismantle each and every boxer he fought He studies their style then uses his technique and experience to systematically defeat them THE GOAT at heavyweight
Good win ALI
I watched the full video of that fight. In the 11th Round, Muhammad Ali hit Ron Lyles with 38 or 39 unanswered crisp punches. The referee stopped the fight. Lyles' cornerman protested, but how many more punches did they want? Ron Lyles was already staggered and leaned backwards on the ropes to prevent himself from falling.
Ali was the greatest of all time as long as he didn't face Mike Tyson in the late 80s.
Simply the greatest .
Too Many Bee ππ΅ Stings..
Ali was not one punch man, he make his opponent a punch bag that he hut it much and much.....
You can already see small signs of dementia setting in.
Why do people always want to compare this version of Ali against a prime Tyson! Iβd take post prime Ali against a post prime Tyson any day of the week! People forget he was arguably the GOAT before he was stripped and his post prime career cemented it! Whereas Tyson was in the goat talk during his prime but his post prime career didnβt do anything to cement his legacy! Perhaps thatβs why people always compare the 80βs Tyson against the Ali of the 70s
What kind of a commentator is speaking this rubbish?
