It's called crop improvement Ope. It can be genetically modified and doesn't have to be chemicals. Think of it as medical cloning or IVF. They can cross them with other varieties and species from other locations to form new ones.

Yes i remember banana having seeds back in the early 80s. Alot of our foods have been 'selectively' modified which is safe but that GMO is a separate thing for me

Oga. What you're saying is different from what GMO is about cause GMO you can't plant it. Hut you can plant Bananas, you can plant watermelon in your backyard. Those are the main issue for me. They want to turn farming to a subscription based prices.
