Apple does not announce products until they are finished. That is one of the few rules the company has never broken in fifty years. This is why the steady drumbeat of leaks, patent filings, and supply chain reports about Apple's augmented reality glasses over the past three years is worth paying very close attention to. 📺 Watch the entire video for more information! _____________________________________________________ Covering the world of Technology and the Future https://bit.ly/3k8tADc https://bit.ly/3k8tADc #techdivision #technologies _____________________________________________________

How do I fit prescription lenses in all this? And how do I keep up an average 2 years replacement cycle for such lenses?
I know this: they won't make anybody any smarter. In fact, technology has an inverse proportionality to human intelligence. The more advanced technology becomes, the "stupider" humanity becomes.
We are so screwed....
I’d buy one if it can replace my myopia and progressive prescription glasses. Essentially auto focus and distortion compensation for my eye.
Once they cover our eyes they own us.
If Apple can’t do Siri, and Apple AI what makes you think Apple can do this???
The glasses are replacing something that people have never had? Interesting...so how can you replace something no one has ever had?
But are they polarized? 🤭
Wrong. The Mac Pro was announced months in advance. The AirPower was announced and never shipped at all.
Google tried this, and it was tried recently. All attempts failed because of safety reasons why, people don't want spies in change rooms. Why would anyone put up with the same thing from Apple?
Never, ever, buy the first version of any Apple product
These are going to be so expensive
More speculation
And the market for them outside of Apple fanboys, virtually zero.
Congratulations! I was waiting for this for 50 years. Worked on augmented reality with Tom Furness at the University of Washington when a very primitive version of this demonstrated the potential of this technology.
base on their power management capability, I think the battery can use few hours only.
The glasses are not supposed to have any overlay on the first addition. Instead you will still have to use your phone for the glasses information
Maybe but glasses combined with cell phones have been tried several times with only moderate success.
I'm looking forward to the next step: a chip placed inside your head (maybe use one of those sinus spaces?) and a system projecting the information into the interocular lenses that replace your natural lens after cataract surgery. (There's 2 main kinds, monofocal emmetropic that gives perfect distance vision but requires you to use reading glasses, and ones that preserve your previous refractive error and require glasses with your previous prescription worn all the time.) So, no need for glasses wearers to worry... nice Mr Apple will put the former kind into your eyes. Of course you'll need a power supply: what about one of those beanies with a propeller to generate power when the wind blows (or when you run very fast)?
I wonder how long it will be before someone learns to hack into your glasses? Just think, each time you step out of the shower and look in the mirror, someone else is seeing you also.
