Since you're looking for the paragraph guy, here I am: The lore of the game is about UpWard, an asylum for kids, that disguises itself as a fun activity center, they manipulate both parents and kids to think patients are safe and happy there, the brainwashing paraldlling to a lobotomy, almost. We'll get more lore on the second game, but for now it seems they create and brainwash their mascots too, to draw in more children since the place seems abandoned/fallen (hence why Lauren was beating Binky into oblivion 😭) I believe the protagonist is a former victim to that asylum, because we can hear crying when at the theater, the sleep mechanics, etc. I think the protagonist ran away/was released and now that the place is abandoned, they returned for investigation purposes. Let me know if I should add something more!
