I completely understand wanting to get comfortable and settled quickly, but when things are done in haste, you can end up regretting certain purchases later on. If you see something you like, take a picture of it first and go home. Imagine it in your space, look up inspiration photos, and think about how it would fit into the layout and overall aesthetic you want. Then, once you’re sure, you can always go back and get it. For your content room decor, I think the gold vase is a little too bold and overpowering for the space. Something more neutral would probably tie all the other pieces together more nicely and give the room a more cohesive look. For bathroom storage, I’d recommend getting something closed rather than open shelving so everything isn’t constantly on display. It helps the space feel cleaner and less cluttered over time. Also be mindful of colors, sizes, and overall longevity when buying things. A good question to ask yourself is: “Is this something I’d still want in my space 5+ years from now?” “If I moved, would I want to bring this with me?” “Can this work with different moods, seasons, or design changes?” Another thing that could really help is taking pictures of your room and furniture pieces you like, then uploading them into AI tools like ChatGPT or Gemini. They can generate mockups and decorating ideas based on your style and personality. That way, you can plan the overall look first and then buy pieces intentionally instead of decorating as you go.
