This is going to be a no-renovation, budget bathroom makeover, where I try to improve the space without ripping everything out. I begin with paint, hoping it will completely transform the room… but once it’s on the walls (and even after a second coat), I start to realise it might not be the right choice. I also test out a vinyl flooring idea, cutting it to size to get a rough feel for how everything will look together before committing. It quickly turns into one of those moments where you have to step back, reassess, and rethink the plan, something that happens more often than you’d think in renovation projects.
