There's a couple lesser known indie games I'd like to tell you about, hidden gems that should have taken the world by storm but fell through the cracks for one (bad) reason or another. Let's bust open those cracks and bring them back up into the light of day! Because if we don't play them, who will? Arco dev here, thanks for sharing our game!
I’m glad we’ve both done the Hollow Knight joke in a “Hidden Gems” video
I get some kind of existential dread at how there are so many people producing awesome stuff that most of it will go almost entirely unrecognized.
Arco is so good. 1000% recommended. Imagine if someone made a Tolkien-esque fantasy world that was based on mesoamerican history instead of European history. It's full of magic, world-building, and a hauntingly beautiful, soulful story.
Got an under loved indie game of your own you’d like to share? Leave a comment!
The idea of Space sprouts sounds so cute and charm that sold me.
hidden gem youtube channel talking about hidden gems games, hopefully the recommendation algorithms will pick up everyone in this video. excellent work!
EDUARDO GALEANO MENTIONED?!!!! dude I was thinking "man... what a cool channel I've just found, this is great" now I have the feeling that "great" will fall short soon, and this is about to become one of my favourite channels ever.
Just bought Arco after watching this video, excited to start playing it.
The top 5 on my wishlist are Tactical Breach Wizards, Arco, Slay the Princess, Two Falls, Minds Beneath Us, but I can't keep up with the amount of releases in comparison with my spare time.
Your channel is under loved my man, subbed!
Man, this is CERTAINLY one of my new favorite channels
None of these games look like anything I’ve ever seen before. That’s nuts. An actual video of indie masterpieces I’ve not seen before. They really all look like art pieces.
Arco and Phoenix Springs both ate me alive when I played them. Man. Incredible games fr
I see any video spotlighting indie games and I am immediately showing support.
i already knew about this games, i used watch a lot of "best indie games" but i never bought them, but it wasn't because i thought this games were bad, the problem is that this games are not for everyone, when arco came out i was already saving money to buy steamworld heist 2 not because steamworld heist 2 is better but because i find it more appealing than arco.
Clicked on the video accidently but I ended up quite captivated by the art style of most all games reviewed here. I'll give them a closer look. Thanks for the vid👍
Never seen The Wire, but getting Arco and Phoenix Springs. Thanks mate.
It's s always amazing to me just how many talented folks are out there.
excellent list, i have arco in my library and i can't wait to try it out once i get the chance i can add two more that i've played sitting at <1000 reviews: 1) lightmatter, 3d puzzler with clear portal influence, very well polished game about manipulating light sources to get past shadowy areas that would otherwise kill you immediately, i enjoyed it and thought the puzzles were decently challenging 2) zniw adventure, family friendly 90's style point-and-click game about dinosaurs, with hand-drawn frame-by-frame animation and scientific accuracy currently sitting at a 99% positive rating, really wish this one was more well known as it's a real labor of love
