That Hollow Knight jumpscare was DIABOLICAL

Felvidek being described as a oneshot dnd session is perfect. Its such a “me and the homies made random characters and just started swinging.” The Dm being a nerdy history buff, the players being dorks who actually get into character, and the references being sprinkled throughout is just the friend groups humor and in-jokes slipping in. My favorite thought is the drunkard being a friend who could only play for like, 10 minutes then found the stupidest most convenient way to die.

And ironically, this channel is a found hidden gem. Loved the video!

Awesome list, man. if you don't mind, I wanna share some games I personally enjoy and consider are hidden gems too. 1. Sword with Sauce (Sandbox dishonored. go sneaky or go guns blazing) 2. Ravenfield (single player fps game that tries to feel like an online battlefield game) 3. Chop Goblins (intentionally horribly made game by an overqualified developer just messing around) 4. FlyKnight (easier version of dark souls with runescape graphics) 5. Buddy Simulator 1984 (spooky text based game that has a lot of surprises)

Admittedly, I didn't know about Kill The Crows or Cyberpulse before watching but brother, I've gotten the Steam cards from the discovery queue on Steam every sale since it was a thing. After 5,000 ignored titles, I don't see any of the the mainstream slop that comes out year-after-year. I ain't the one in the trenches, I'm the guy that *dug* them. Call me swine because I'm digging through the muck for diamonds. I am WALLOWING, brother. You have to hit me with that "my 4th grade 58 year old typist teacher lost the game he secretly wrote on a floppy disk in the back of a filing cabinet and I happened to find it when I bought the thing off an auction. Turns out, it was a BANGER!" kind of stuff. Gotta separate the wheat from the chaff. No whole grain, no whole meal, we're talking refined white pastry flour your granny still puts through the sieve. You know what I'm saying? *Do **_I_** know what I'm saying?!*

I remember watching a full gameplay of Arctic Eggs and it’s the most bizarre yet philosophical game I’ve ever seen the writing is so concise in the dialogue despite it’s otherworldly visuals. It’s definitely the most creative thing that works so well I’ve seen in recent memory.

if you want a game that's similar to Felvidek i 100% recommend Hylics 2!!! Hylics 2 has an incredibly unique art style with a satisfying JRPG element (once you understand it lol). I also listen to the OST on a near daily basis lol

Okay, I am absolutely putting Felvidek, Crumble and Cyberpulse on my wishlist. Thank you for the video! I looked through my Steam library, and checked which games I loved have under 2,500 reviews. I'll put my absolute faves in here, ordered from least to most coverage. Hohokum (87 reviews): 2D exploration puzzler, where you play as a flying abstract serpent playing hide-n-seek with its friends, going through interconnected scenes and trying to figure out what to do in order to find your buddies. Gorgeous art and wonderful music. Venineth (225 reviews): Physics-based exploration platformer, playing as a steel marble using its momentum to adventure through vast, surreal landscapes. Trash of the Titans (241 reviews, Early Access): Turn-based tactics RPG roguelike, controlling a party of animal folk defending their food from raiders. Between levels, food you protected is used to give stat-buffs to your team using a Tetris-style tetromino grid. Dungeons of Aether (540 reviews): Turn-based dungeon crawler where you and the opponent take turns drafting dice to use for abilities. By the same creators of the Rivals of Aether fighting games, and set in the same world. Grapple Dog 1 & 2 (574/146 reviews): Phenomenal 2D platformers, with a fun aesthetic, music and most importantly, tight controls and neat level designs. I 100%ed both. Hexologic (635 reviews): A hex-based logic puzzle hybrid of Sudoku and Picross, with nice music that alters as you get deeper into the levels. Beastieball (803 reviews, Early Access): What if Pokémon, instead of turn-based 1v1 RPG battles, had turn-based 2v2 RPG volleyball matches? Which results in all sorts of teamwork combos and positioning. Campaign is content-complete; the EA is for animation work, PvP event netcode and balancing before launch. By the same devs as Chicory: A Colourful Tale, another game I adore. Submachine Legacy (1,082 reviews): My favourite Flash-based point-n-click series of all time, condensed into one game and expanded by its creator after Adobe killed Flash. Explore an interconnected, ever-expanding network of abandoned locations that've been consumed by the Submachine, floating in an endless void where alternate realities overlap and rot into each other. The artstyle, the thickly oppressive atmosphere, the droning music, and the mounting strangeness are all selling points. Railbound (1,522 reviews): Railroad-laying tile-based logic puzzler. Very fun, lotsa neat mechanics, gets quite complex by the end. Lunistice (1,545 reviews): Nimble, short 3D platformer, very speedrun-friendly. Colourful PS1 aesthetic. Ended up 100%ing it, hah. Going Under (2,380 reviews): 3D dungeon brawler. Play as an unpaid intern tasked with clearing out the basement of monsters that keep stealing office supplies! Use whatever items you can get your hands on to smack enemies! Enjoy a million puns and a story about the failures of corporate startup culture to keep itself alive, let alone provide for its workers! The first game by the devs of Another Crab's Treasure.

Glad to see Kill the Crows getting some love. I'd also recommend Akane for a similar experience but with a cyberpunk skin and a bit more of a hack 'n slash focus! Has the same challenge-based unlocks to mess with new load outs and synergies. Both were pleasant surprise finds for the low cost of entry and it's nice to just have an addicting lil' twin stick arcade game to jump in and out of, they're an endangered species these days.
