A friendsurprises us with a stunning antique millstone sink—something we had been dreaming about—reminding us just how special this journey and community truly are ❤️ Inside the house, progress is moving fast. We move in our long-awaited bed frame and mattress, continue intricate tile work in one of the most challenging spaces we’ve ever tackled, and take on one of the most ambitious DIY moments yet—cutting a massive granite stone to create a custom step for our bathtub. What started as a difficult and exhausting process turns into one of the most satisfying transformations we’ve experienced so far. With the right tools, patience, and a little help, the stone becomes a perfect, organic feature that brings the outdoors inside—exactly the vision we’ve had for this home. We also make key progress in the bathroom, adding ventilation, refining layouts, and preparing for final installations. And in one of the most special moments, we reunite with the couple we adopted our cats from, making this day feel even more meaningful.
