Hi Laiba I’m 31 weeks pregnant with my first a boy! I’ve also gotten diagnosed with gestational diabetes. What’s been helping me is separating your food into breakfast, snack 1, lunch, snack 2, dinner, snack 3 and walking 10-15 mins after your meals (not snacks) also cutting out all sugar and limiting carbs! You have to test 4 times a day fasted before breakfast, 2 hrs after breakfast, 2 hrs after lunch and 2 hrs after dinner! I also used chat gpt to help me create a schedule based on when I wake up and go to sleep and also GD friendly snacks and meals! Good luck! You’ll do great!
Yay 🙌 Uzair is back please tell him to do vlogs on youtube I miss the 2018 vlogs of both of you’s really fun 🤩 they were
Hi Laiba, I’m an internal medicine physician practicing in Toronto. Highly recommend talking to your Obstetrician to write you a prescription for a continuous glucose monitor (CGM).you won’t have to get multiple skin pricks and you will be able to see real time how your blood sugars fluctuate. Best of luck, you got this !
Hello, I live in California usa. I got Gestational diabetes with my second child ( boy) I was so worried. It’s very common but you nothing serious to worry about. Be careful with your diet eat More protein and vegetables. Walk 20 mins before and 20 mins after your meal. Doctors worry about the size of baby with gestational Diabetes. Bigger baby more chances of Caesarian. Careful of protein shakes check the sugar levels. If you eat healthy balanced small meals , walk and not worry too much about it you will be fine. I can see by your old vlogs you like working out. So just do that after giving birth when you are ready. You will be fine. Don’t stress. Enjoy this time. Good luck
Girlll! Before and after your meals walk for 10-15 mins! I promise it’ll help! Same happened to me I failed over a tiny bit. But walking helped sooo much and I stopped the soda and bread 😭. Increased water in take! Pee and sweating will decrease your sugar level💯. I refused the pricking of my finger 5x a day because I’m severely anemic and didn’t wanna lose a drop of blood. So I agreed to having my finger prick every time I went to the OB. So ask if they’ll agree to that! Since you failed by barely anything. Because having to prick yourself 5x a day is a nightmare 😭. Btw do not prick yourself in the middle of your finger only on the sides like.
I dont have advise but sending you lots of duaas ❤
I had gestational diabetes with both of my pregnancies and all you have to do is cut down on sugar and carbs, eat healthy and walking is must. Sugar just makes the baby grow bigger. I was told i may become diabetic years down the road and i actually did. I didn't have a healthiest life style as well, so that also contributed..
Stress makes levels worse as does not enough rest. Please dont stress.
Welcome back to uzair and you should do video with him
It’s okay, my niece had it and she’s okay after the babies don’t worry in UK

I’m the same way Laiba, when everything’s going good I always think something bad is gonna happen . Doing dhikr and keeping busy and making lots n lots of dua helps. When I slip with all of that I end up spiraling again
Please get a cgm! No needles just continuous glucose monitor wearable
aww we missed uzair glad to see him back
Love ur hair, need a hair tutorial
That is actually true laiba... U manifest most of the things.. So if u thing something bad is just waiting round the corner for you then thats what's actually going to haopen
I'm sure you know the diet side of things. My recommendation is to find ways to lower stress because that contributes to blood glucose levels and insulin resistance. Acupuncture is great as well.
Try having more salad and plenty of water.also eating fresh fenugreek in vegetable curry.
