"You're not versed in magic, are you?" I love Gale being lowkey snobby about his wizardly education, versus someone like a Sorcerer who has innate abilities. (But in all fairness, he is specifically trying to find someone to help him with the Netherese orb lodged in his chest. So some random sorcerer probably not able to help *at all*) #baldursgate3 #shorts #gale

I am a SORCERER Him: Oh, sorry; I'll speak slower.
I like that during the magic trick camp cutscene, a sorcerer can return some of that sass by telling Gale: "Magic is like music. But while you need it written down, I can play by ear."
tbh iβm so surprised how many people have said βafter he said this, i left him at campβ or that they did something even worse to himβ¦ FOLKS! this is called character development! every companion in the game is a little cold in their own way when you meet them (except Wyll and Halsin, perhaps, but thatβs a diff storyβ¦) Consider that none of the companions fully respect you until you truly prove yourself to them, through combat or decisions you make. Character development! The fun part is forming a friendship with them and proving yourself to them (as they try to prove themselves to you!) Also, in this case, yeah Gale is haughty! Heβs a bit arrogant! Plus, he just met you. Heβs already quite polite and grateful for being pulled out of the portal. But yeah, heβs gotta work on that ego. Over the course of the game, he can take two paths: humble himself, or go god mode. It is what it is. Character development! You all are missing out on one of the kindest characters in the game because he said something mildly snooty within 5 min of meeting him π
Ah the ancient rivalry of Wizards, Sorcerers, and Bards
Tav: I'm a sorcerer Gale: Listen, I don't really care which color of crayon is your favorite flavor
Wizard: I have studied for countless years to perfect my craft and knowledge of magic Sorcerer: I am the descended of a powerful lineage and have natural magical abilities Bard: I dunno man I just insulted a dude one day and he dropped dead
I'm a warlock. Him; ah, well in that case I'd like to speak to your manager.
He's just mad he can't cast fireball twice per turn
Being born sourcerer and growing up studying magic must be the most powerful combo ever
Gales beef with Sorcerers was my favorite part of being one, my favorite is when Gale would show me something then get all pissy when my sorcerer guy was liks "yeah i know, thats childs play for me π"
Hagrid: You're a WIZARD, Harry. Gale: I'll be the judge of that.
Tell me βim better than youβ without actually telling me βim better than youβ
gale: sorcerer. (derogatory) minthara: wizard. (derogatory)
Pure Necro wizard and everyone's like "ooh noo, dont read the ancient cursed book" and Gale's just shaking in the corner like "FUCK YEAH FUCKING READ IT!!!"
my favorite part of being a sorcerer was shitting on Mystra
Gale over here wizardsplaining magic to me⦠literally born with magic.
Warlocks over here like βI got a Sugar Patron sprinkling me with magicβ
His sorcerer beef is so funny and I find it amusing to imagine him in a relationship with a sorcerer because of the romantic love bickering theyβd have.
In act three (spoiler) when you reach the wizard tower and tell the wizard there βand I thought wizards were supposed to be the smart onesβ (a sorcerer-specific dialogue), he approves and adds on the hate train. A fun little character development detail.
Gale insulting my Dragonborn sorceror like i didn't save him from being trapped in a rock
